A quality, but affordable titanium road bike designed for fast, long rides.

Just Killing Time is constructed from the highest quality 3AL 2.5V lightweight triple butted titanium with a full carbon fork. A well proportioned Pearson 'house' geometry built in line with our bike fitting principles, creates a race like yet sustainable riding position. Suitable for both long days out in the saddle and quicker short rides. Attention to detail is critical with many hours proportioned to the neatest of welds giving the frame a long and beautiful life. An oversized lower headset bearing, a main down tube which ovalises at the head tube and then again at the bottom bracket, marries with an oversized carbon fork. The result creates a classic look, an efficiency comparable to any quality carbon frame yet at the same time delivering a silky smooth ride.

This bike is built with durable Mavic Aksium wheels featuring sealed-bearing hubs which offer a sublime ride quality at an affordable price. The latest Ultegra Di2 groupset provides reliable, consistent and precise shifting, while the stiff alloy finishing kit completes the package as a great all-around road bike perfect for fast, long rides.

Quick Thoughts

We felt the need to develop a bike which would give a sporty, race feel but still be comfortable for longer rides. Customer response on this frame has been amazing, titanium seems to be rapidly becoming the go-to material for riders who have had the carbon bike and are now looking for something responsive but less jarring to ride. Titanium has this quality and offers a silky smooth ride without losing the efficiency of what a carbon bike would offer.

I tested this on a 24hr ride to Paris and it made the whole experience far more pleasurable. One of the other riders was so desperate to have one straight away - he ended up buying mine.

We have been developing ways of fitting riders to bikes to increase comfort and efficiency for many years. We have consistently analysed the way people best ride bikes, and more recently deciphered the hard data recorded from regular Pearson Precision Bike Fitting sessions, to design unique Pearson 'house' frame geometries for this and other models. We build each bike combining our 'fit-friendly' geometry and variables in components size to realise the maximum output and most sustainable position for you. PHD, a philosophy borne out of good practice and enjoyed by many since 1860.
