96% - Cycling Active
This versatile machine offers all the benefits of a carbon race frame whilst also being practical. It ensures that the rider's effort is converted into speed, whilst remaining comfortable, making it an ideal bike for the commuter, weekend or out and out 'Audax' rider!
On June 12, 1987, twelve Italian cyclists attempted the challenge of cycling from Rome to Naples, a distance of 230km, during daylight hours. Nine succeeded and their attempt was nothing short of audaciaous, hence the name 'Audax' (from the Latin word 'Audace' meaning 'audacious').

Having been a committed steel frame rider for some 30 years + the purchase of the Carbon Pearson Audax was and has proved to be a major investment which has brough great pleasure. The major differance being the comfort that the carbon frame offers. The bike is lightweight and responsive, kitted out with Ultegra everything works well and looks the part. I still enjoy my steel frame hybrid but when I want a fast responsive ride the Audax provides everything I need. All in all a excellent allrounder. |

Fantastic bike - My is built up with Campag Record and Mavic Kysiriums. Superb responsive ride and handling. Possibly the most versatile bike you could ever own, perfect for winter training, commuting, light touring, sportives and I'm sure could even hold it's own in racing. considering I have a colection of bikes, this is the one that I'd save first in a fire! |
