Workshop

About Our Workshop

With a wealth of cycling knowledge; from road cycling to moutain biking and BMX, Pearson mechanics are well versed in just about anything that can go wrong with a bike, as they’ve probably broken it on their own bikes. Complete with full Cytec qualifications and certified DT Swiss Pro wheel builders, our mechanics are more than a match for any job and will have your bike repaired to the highest standards.

We offer a full range of repair services from puncture repair to a complete strip down and rebuild of your bike. Workshop jobs do not require booking, so you are welcome to turn up and drop off your bike when it’s convenient for you. We aim to turn jobs around within 1-3 working days, but this may be longer during busy periods.

Opening times: 8:30am to 5:30pm

The high street is open to vehicles until 10am, so you’re able to drop off and pick up your bike by car before then; we do request, though, that customers aim to pick up their bike repairs between 9:00am and 5:00pm. For our contact details and to find out how to get to us, please see our contact pages.

Bikes left with us for over a month, without prior arrangement, will be sold or otherwise disposed of. We will always attempt to contact you first, though, before disposing of any bikes.

We offer three levels of general servicing and a range of other more specific repair or servicing jobs, details of which are below:

General Service - £40.00

A General Service includes full inspection and adjustment of all moving parts and an external check of all bearings. Fitting of any new parts may incur a small surcharge (see footnote).

Labour charges are capped at £70; you will always be notified if the cost exceeds £40.

Free fitting on all upgrades* when purchased alongside this service.

*Upgrades - All parts replaced for reasons other than being worn out or defective.

Ultimate Bicycle Service - £120.00

Whether you put in the miles on a daily basis or you require a 'race worthy' steed, the Ultimate Bicycle Service is tailored for you. Everything is adjusted as is with the standard Bicycle Service; additionally a full strip down of all moving parts is encompassed in this option.

Parts are not included and labour is fixed at £120.00.

Free fitting on all upgrades* when purchased alongside this service.

*Upgrades - All parts replaced for reasons other than being worn out or defective.

Bike Inspection - £15.00

If you don't want to book your bike in for the service straight away, this service is the perfect option. The Bicycle Inspection is a full external review of all components to give you an idea of potential problems and the cost of repairation, before committing to a service. You will receive a call and/or an e-mail when the job is complete and a full breakdown of faults, prices and potential upgrades.

If you would then like to go ahead with a service, the charge for inspection will be deducted from the cost of the service.

An advanced payment is required for the Bicycle Inspection
