Pearson Cycling Club

Pearson Cycles has a long and distinguished history and the cycling club is no different. At the end of the 19th century, as Pearson's embraced the burgeoning cycle trade, the human desire to compete led many to race the newest form of human-powered transportation, the penny farthing. Races would be regularly held between London's outlying towns and as Sutton's bike shop, Pearson's was in a prime position to assist and promote these daring riders who risked injury, and even death, to prove their mettle. If you'd like to continue in the tradition of these fearless riders, Pearson Cycling Club will be delighted to welcome you.

Here are some of the great benefits you'll receive as part of the Pearson Cycling Club:

  • Free Bronze British Cycling membership for your first year.
  • Affiliation to all relevant cycling bodies - CTTC, BC, Surrey League, etc.
  • Discounts on kit and equipment in-store.
  • A comprehensive system to aid you in furthering your training and racing:

We would like to encourage riders of all standards, so if you are new to riding or concerned about your speed and stamina, have no fear, as we intend to set up training rides with groups suitable for all abilities. The object of the club is to promote, develop and foster the sport of cycling for adults at all levels.
