the store concept
This one stop shop is a friendly place where you will find a combination of retail, cycle servicing, precision cycle fitting services, physio and sports therapy, plus a cafe to get your fix whilst watching what's going on in the latest tour. Above all we would like your visit to be out of the ordinary and enjoyable.
The bikes and frames we stock have been selected to offer an informed choice of brands, a departure from the common names found on many shop floors in the UK. We specialise in road, triathlon, and cyclo cross models as well as folders for the everyday commuter.
Our 'keep it simple' approach to the bike ranges means we remain focused and expert on the brands and provide our customers with great value in product and advice. These include our very own Pearson frames and bikes, quality Felt Bicycles from the U.S, the broad plethora of designs by Ridley of Belgium, the bespoke and much desired custom builds from Serotta U.S.A, and the latest custom steel, titanium and carbon frames from Guru in Canada. Also with our proximity to London, another British home-grown company help us to provide even the most lycra clad cyclists an alternative for avoiding the tube, Brompton folding bikes off the peg or made to specification.
In tradition, as we well know from our heritage, bikes are usually sold by selection from what is on the shop floor, or in the brochure, sized to a fashion and delivered to the customer in store or by dispatch. Our precision Pearson Cyclefit service flips this whole idea on its head. A purely top down approach means that customers, both expert and novice wind the clock back, to a point in their cycling life before the purchase of their first serious bike...
A Pearson Cyclefit session on our Sizecycle jig will generate a series of optimum precise bike size and setup measurements which the customer can then apply to a new machine. This reduces the chances of buying the wrong bike and creates greater efficiency and comfort, prevents injury and ultimately makes for longer riding and sense. We also provide other services around Pearson Cyclefit including 'On Your Bike' Cyclefit, cleat and footbed sessions, plus linked physio and sports therapy referral. Private shower and changing facilities are available in house for customers wishing to refresh pre or post sessions.
Parts, Accessories and Clothing
For some the concept so far may sound highbrow for the everyday cyclist, but rest assured we also stock parts and accessories from all the greats in cycling, from Shimano, SRAM and Campag, to Mavic, Enve and Lightweight wheels, to quality consumables from tyres and tubes to nutrition. Our clothing selection for ladies and gents is focused from the likes of Pearson, Castelli and Endura, with bespoke shoes from Fizik, Bont, Lake and Shimano.
Cycle Service and Repair
Servicing is also part of the store we take very seriously. For many customers their bike is an obsession and we will treat it that way! Our mechanics offer the best advice and care for your bike, be it a full strip down, clean up and rebuild service or upgrade and fitting of new component parts. We aim to turnaround each project as quickly as possible and are happy to take advance bookings by phone 020 8642 2095 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We offer a range of services which can be found in our workshop section.
The café is designed to give you a breather, take a seat, have a drink, have a snack and catch up on some cycling on the box. We serve the very highest quality coffee from Big Magee’s, the legend that is Magnus Backstedt, winner of Paris Roubaix, stage winner of Tour De France and Giro D’Italia. Each coffee served sends a donation to the children's cancer charity Christopher Smile.
