An avid bike rider, he has come through a number of careers to get here, including fireman, all of which have put him in good stead to manage the corner stone of our business.

Duties - Retail Operations Manager

Expert knowledge - retail management, systems, processes and efficiency. In the bike trade on and off since 1988 so has a pretty good knowledge on most things old and new.

Rides and prides - S-Works Tarmac, Stumpjumper FSR Pro Carbon, Pearson 3 Speed hack bike and a 1979 Raleigh Chopper.

Bonus Fact - Has a mild Strava addiction coupled with a mild mid-life crisis. Currently undergoing therapy for both.

'Ginger' Jim


Discovered occupying the West End with radio, heavy duty lock and grin.

Duties - Sales

Expert knowledge - all things in the general shop. Loves a chat and always sells you the right bike.

Rides and prides - Custom 'Ginga' special, Specialized Crosstrail Expert dripping with gold.

Hidden talent - able to tell you a story about being a courier.


Performance Store Sutton



Aspiring mechanic became cycle mechanic and has never looked back.

Duties - Proshop custom bike mechanic

Expert knowledge - Builds custom bikes to exact specification and body geometry fit. Higher end road bike repairs and upgrades.

Rides and prides - Ridley X Bow, Ridley Scandium, Custom Single Speed.

Hidden talent - The tidiest mechanic known to mankind.

Duties - Workshop Manager

Expert knowledge - Mountain bikes, all bikes in general, but especially bikes that fly. Cytec qualified and a genius when it comes to fixing bikes.

Rides and prides - Corsair Konig, Spank Tweet Tweet, Koxx XTP, Giant XTC Composite, GT Lobo 1000, Rocky Mountain ETSX-70



Lover of bikes and all things cycle related.

Duties - Mechanic.

Expert knowledge - Road and cyclo cross.

Rides and Prides - Ridley X Fire, Pearson Hammerandtongs.

Hidden talent - Manages to get just as filthy working at the shop as he does racing cyclo cross.

IBM trained, discovered a love for the world of cycling and just had to work in it.

Duties - Stock manager

Expert knowledge: Road bikes, Mountain bikes and Bromptons.

Rides and prides: Specialized S-Works Tarmac, Specialized S-Works Stumpjumper.

Hidden talent - Can pull out a one-liner for any occassion.

Guy Pearson


Co director and lifelong cyclist - born on a bike and fifth generation of Pearson to look after the business. British Cyclo Cross Squad. National schoolboy silver medallist.

Lifelong rider of crit circuit Cyrstal 'Palace', The Ras and many a first cat race. Completed Tour of Flanders, Paris Roubiax, Marmotte and London-Paris cyclo sportives. Winner of the 2010 London-Paris sportive.

Duties - COO - general shop welfare, functionalty and capacity.

Expert knowledge - Road and cyclo cross, can work out the front end to the back end of bike by now.

Rides and prides - Pearson I've Started So I'll Finish, Pearson Minegoestoeleven Di2, Pearson Rule #9

Hidden talent - Likes to start building his bike when everyone else is trying to leave for the day.


William Pearson


Co director and lifelong cyclist - born on another bike and fifth generation of Pearson to look after the business.

Raced Cyclocross rider from age 7 up, BMX and mountain bikes. Started road racing early 20s and has completed most continental sportives including L'Etape Du Tour, Paris Roubaix and London to Paris. Hell of the North Cotswolds is a must every year.

Duties - CEO - strategy and new business.

Expert knowledge - Consultation for projects and schemes involving bikes or bike related services.

Rides and prides - Pearson Just Killing Time, Pearson Easy Come Easy Go, Pearson Rough With the Smooth, Pearson I May Be Some Time...

Hidden talent - Likes to sweep up.
