This sleek, steel version of its aluminium counterpart is the perfect choice when tackling the big city. Comfortable, dependable steel remains smooth and reliable, perfect when you’re caught in a tight spot.
Dependable and comfortable - just two reasons why steel frames are currently making a resurgence amongst fixie crowds, commuters and even in the race scene. However, using geometry inspired by traditional road frames, we’ve created an agile fixed/free that’s equally at home winter training in the hills as it is whipping out of a sticky situation in town. Made from double butted cromoly with clearance for mudguards and a rack, the Now You See Me offers all the freedom, versatility and simplicity you could want from a single-speed.
"I use the Now You See Me for a long work commute, through countryside and then into London, between 150-240 miles a week. I wanted something completely reliable, with mudguards and rack, strong and reasonably light and to top it off something that looked good. The Now You See Me has ticked all the boxes, and after about two months of commuting through all weather, I have not been let down. Bike is stiff and responsive, so I can power up hills and accelerate with pleasing speed. The bike does not have bumpy/rattling feel of aluminium bikes. Paint job looks good and appears durable so far. All components rock solid, and clearly chosen to look good with the paint job.
I opted for upgrade to Ambrosio wheels (I normally only use mavic factory or mavic handbuilt wheels, as I am 6 foot four and weigh 100kg and have ruined other brands) so I have been really pleased to find the build is light enough, stiff and remain completely true even though I often ride with panniers.
The advice from Pearson Cycles was excellent, and the staff were able to share there experience and expert knowledge to help with the purchase. Also gave me advice and support regarding my last bike which was mangled by a car, and provided insurance repair quote and info/advice about solicitors.
Just looking forward to getting through the winter, and then having some rides in the summer just for fun without the rack and mudguards."
The bike is beautifully set-up and has been done with such care and attention to detail. This morning's commute was a massive improvement over last weeks! I just wanted to thank you (particularly Andrew) for helping spec out the ride and for making everything pass without a glitch. There is one minor gripe - the fixed rear sprocket is missing from the hub, I guess as I wanted the free-wheel as primary whoever set up the bike just forgot to put on the other sprocket.
Anyway I'm really happy and will be recommending you guys to the many people throwing admiring glances at the bike.
