E-Commerce & Marketing Manager (Full Time)

We are seeking a talented and energetic E-Commerce and Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team.

You will be an integral part in leading the Pearson brand experience across all channels both online and instore. You will work closely with stakeholders and senior management, to help drive our online sales both locally and internationally. You will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience while constantly looking to improve our processes. 

You will have spent 2 to 4 years working in an e-commerce and marketing role ideally within a sport or clothing retail brand, or have experience working in a digital agency.

You must be prepared to take ownership of the customer experience journey, while continually seeking to look for new opportunities to take the brand into new markets. You must be able to see the bigger picture, while also being able to make decisions on the go.

You will ideally already be an active road cyclist or be motivated to take up cycling.


  • Manage all e-commerce platforms under the brand 
  • Create and execute the Marketing plan and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Optimising product groups, product lines, CMS layouts, data feeds and using API's
  • Mange the CRM programme
  • Managing the quality and accuracy of product merchandising through innovative approaches
  • Implementing new strategies to improve product conversion rate and search rankings
  • Monitor progress and highlight potential risks; anticipate and solve problems and issues in a timely and constructive manner
  • Overseeing and managing Pearson’s corporate and community partnerships
  • Using and customising reporting platforms and analysis tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics
  • Training/educating staff on effective use of in house and third party marketing tools


  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in managing an e-commence platform in line with project guidelines
  • Solid technical background with understanding of digital marketing and web technologies
  • An understanding and usage of website content management systems is essential
  • Knowledge of Magento is essential
  • Knowledge of Ascend RMS is desirable
  • The ability to run email campaigns using third party technology is essential
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO
  • Proven experience in managing a budget
  • An eye for detail (design, process, and organisation) and demonstrate a customer first approach
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite is desirable
  • Must be able to work from either of our store locations and occasionally remotely  
  • A positive attitude to investing in their career and being willing to go the extra mile
  • Be highly self-driven, responsible and keen to improve


  • The salary would start at £30k rising to £40k in 12 months
